I've been looking to get some new fans to replace my PCP&C Silencer fans, there nice and quiet but they don't move air for sh|t. As the PCP&C rated at 28cfm/20db for sure don't move 28cfm compared to other fans that move near less or the same. The Papst 80mm fan rated at 27cfm/19db would this fan be definatly stronger then PCP&C does anyone here have both? Or could the Papst fan actully be the real manufactor of the PCP&C fans cause the specs are almost near the same? Im looking at 3 fans from papst...

120mm @ 55cfm/26db (for intake)
-92mm @ 36cfm/23db (for FOP38..oh yes! :p Also act as intake)
-80mm @ 27cfm/19db (2-exhaust, Top blowhole & Rear)

Please if you could help me out with your own experance what fan performs in the real world to have the best highest CFM at the lowest DB. And could you direct me where to buy this stuff in the US.

IMHO there is only one brand of fans that are quiet & powerful - Panaflo. Check Panasonic for detalis of their fans (start with industrial products, other OEM...)

120 = 70cfm @ 30dba
92 = 42cfm @ 27dba or ("m") = 48cfm @ 30dba
80 = 24cfm @ 21dba or ("m") = 32.1 @ 28dba

You can get Panaflows from Coolcases or from CasesEtc

A while back Overclockers.com tested several CPU fans including Papst, Y.S. Tech and ADDA. The results showed that the CFM rating by each manufacturer to be somewhat truthful. Papst had the highest rating of the three and consequently performed the best.

I would think that Papst's rating are for reals, unlike PCP&C...
