Papst 40mm fan

Where exactly can you buy these? I am looking for a 40x40x20 to replace my Tiger1 fan (God, it's loud) yet most places don't carry 40mm, let alone Papst. I'm looking for their low dB version...

Eh, I like this one. It fits and cools very nicely.I doubt I could find a better one for less than the cost of a new fan (Im basing this off of the Papst fan being 20 bucks)

Or get an adapter. I think they make 40 - 70, maybe even up to 80mm. SVC.com has a large selection of adapters, but I don't think even the best fan developer in the world can make a quiet yet effective (that is, above 5cfm) 40mm.

Get a Zalman passive northbridge. As long as you have some case airflow, it will be fine for even extreme overclocking.

From their site:

3. ZM-NB47J cannot be used on motherboards that lack mounting holes around the Northbridge
chipset.

Still looking for place with a Papst 40mm fan... 🙁

Here is your link:
40 x 40 x 20 Papst

Since you are bent on replacing that fan with another German fan, you are going to have to deal with companies like the one I listed. Glück mein Freund. Ich hoffe, dass Sie German sprechen

Papst are really good fans (honestly, they are the best) but they carry a premium price tag. You may try Panaflo fans as another option. They are really quiet (depends on models) for their airflow and they are more affordable, and easier to find (every performance shops carry them).

The Panaflo 40mm isn't all that great. It's quiet, but it doesn't push as much air as the quieter Papst.

So nobody in the U.S. sells Papst fans? Thats pretty crappy :|
I wish I could find another low noise fan with a good airflow, but so far all I have found are Sunons, which aren't all that quiet in my experience 🙁

I have been looking for this too.
Digi-Key will take orders of 10 at a time - about $150 per 10.

silentmaxx seems to jut carry 40x40x10 mm fans, not 40x40x20.

I decided to order a Panansonic fan from Digi-Key since that is what they keep in stock.
