Yes there was recently a peace march in Washington DC. I think there were over half a million Muslims there. But, of course, the media didnt cover it well. IMO, most of the time the media works to show only the negative aspects of the Muslim world.

Does anybody remember Piss Christ? An artist put a crucifix in a jar of urine and called it art. The Christians may have been pissed off (no pun intended ;)) but I don't remember violent riots in the streets of our major cities.

Muslims need to step into the modern world.

More ignorance. Most Muslims are in the modern world. You are generalizing too much. Of course we all hate the depictions and though they were offensive, but we would like to peacefully fix the problem by trying to show the world that we really are not violent terrorist-loving camel jockeys. But, there are just a few people who just ruin this for us.

I wish there was a way that I could prove to people that the majority are against the violence, because I know most dont believe it. We have weekly sermons at our mosque on Fridays. This Friday the topic was related to this issue. The whole sermon was spent condemning the acts of violence, but also condemning the comics in a non-violent way.

If I'm following you corectly, your sermon was about being mad at the newspaper, but not in a violent way. That would be the proper reaction IMO.

I'm curious, since Denmark has only a 4% Muslim population why is it they are being portrayed the way they are, with the boycott and the violence being aimed at them? That bothers me, do you see where i'm coming from?
