Hi, Sure hope this is the right place to ask this question, so here goe's... My Dad needs to be able to somehow convert all of his older OX/9 and OX/10 files and data to work with his newer Tiger 10.4 operating system... Any help would really be appreciated...

There's nothing about files that tie them to a specific release of OS X. If the newer version of OS X requires a different version of some piece of software then you might have to do something with it's specific files but that's the fault of that program and not OS X.
