I saw this at a friends house when I was drunk, and it was crazy. Pretty good, but it'd be freaky to watch if you were high...

Was the bitch just crazy or what? I took it as just figments of a child's over-active imagination (besides escaping from a locked room, nothing she does with fantasy stuff effects anyone else) and actually a rather sad story.

maybe this sentence can help you a little

La vida es sueño

Wikipedia'd it and it doesn't help much if you're referring to the play (which sounds like a slightly skewed man in the iron mask).

I know it is quite American of me to say this, but... If I wanted to read I'd have picked up a book.

Stopped watching about 15 minutes in.

I wouldn't call you American for saying that. The appropriate term would be illiterate.

and 13 years old

Seriously if people can't read text, then jeez...apparently the public school they went to was fail. Needs to be shut down.

This was one of the few movies I felt compelled to own for myself; want to make sure my kids can watch it (when they're old enough of course).

That dude with the eyes in his hands creeped me out. I'm not one to usually feel antsy, but that did it. The whole movie had an uncanny feel to it. Great directing.

It was ok, but I expected it to be better after hearing all the praise it got. The subtitles were annoying for this type of movie also.

I thought it was fantastic. I'm not sure why people get so hung up on subtitles - it's a line (maybe slightly more from time to time) of text - does it really take you that long to read it? All you do is glance down, and glance back up.

The movie was great...I don't get your question. Being shown in the theater was a result of it being noticed by people in the US...not the other way around.

I loved the movie, and when I think back to it I don't even think about the subtitles. I was too engrossed in the story and what was going on. I think those who gripe about subtitles have very short attention spans.

Replaced my original retail cover and label with this one (Not mine). I like it a little better. Retail is not bad but not great either. What did you guys think of this film ? Do you all think this film ever would of been heard of in the US if did not play in theaters?

Hellboy2 is made by the same fx of Pan's Labyrinth. Previews look REAL good. too bad the storyline sucked the moment Hellboy appeared on screen :(

I thought the subtitles added to the movie. I thought it made the movie much more engrossing

Go fuck yourself. Some people cant read and watch a movie at the same time. If I'm focusing most of my attention on the bottom of the screen I'm guaranteed to miss a bunch of the movie visually.
