I quoted Panetta speaking in the present tense. I didn't claim he was making any prediction about the future.You say Panetta is saying that Iran isn't going to develop nuclear weapons
Panetta said "were keeping that pressure on to convince Iran that they shouldnt develop a nuclear weapon". That doesn't imply that pressure is needed to prevent Iran from making nuclear weapons, but rather only that pressure is being applied out of concern that Iran might some day try to develop a nuclear weapon.then he says we need to apply pressure to prevent Iran from making nuclear weapons.
