Panera Bread Just Lost a Customer

I wanted something better than donuts or bagels this morning, so I headed to Panera Bread with Cherry Strudel in mind. There, I was told it was dropped from their menu. Well, they can drop me from their patron list as well! :frown:

I haven't eaten there in a looong time. My favorite menu item is the Smokehouse TUrkey Panini Sandwich. 9 tiems out of 10 I go there just for that sandwich and they are otu of it. How the hell can you be out. SOmeoen is just too stupid to notice when they are low and put another one in the oven. THey take like 20 minutes to heat up which is just rediculous.

I've written to complain and they said come in and get a free one. SO guess what. I go in for the free one, and.... THey were Out! Haven't been back since.

You wouldn't say that if you ever had the cherry strudel. Man, they fvcked up!

Well, if you feel that strongly about it, open a "pikachu's cherry strudel shop" right across the street. That'll teach 'em!

And yes, I do go there occassionally. I like to tease the women behind the counter when I order. I like to say, "Yes, Ill have an overpriced sandwich and large lemonade please!!". They just laugh.

And roll their eyes after they turn around to get your order.

So how long have you been working there? 😉

No chuckles out of the melancholy grunts this morning. I guess it figures only the third string noobs would be stuck working Sunday morning. I ain't goin' back.

Panera Who?

You know. That fast food place that tries to look like a bakery.

Oh yeah, that place that makes you think that a few fancy names makes it "upscale" so they can overprice their food? Sure.

'Panera' is really a franchise of the St. Louis Bread Co. In St. Louis, they still have the cherry strudel (as of about two days ago), so I'm guessing it's just your local store. Hassle them enough about it and I bet they'll pick it back up. If they dropped it, it's because they had a lot left over at the end of the day on a fairly regular basis. The one I go to is in danger of cutting the cinnamon rolls for this reason, in which case I'll stop going there.

I'd love to know where you found a real bakery. Seriously.

What? You can't find a bakery in PA? Check out the Business Pages. Also, try your supermarkets. Lots of good stuff there.

I enjoy Panera Bread, especially considering it's maybe a dollar or two more than other fast food garbage, like Taco Bell. The food is always fresh and each one has its own bakery, along with only using natural meat. Of course for some of you people all that matters is how much you can shove down your holes, in which case going to even a poseur place like panera bread is like giving caviar to swine.

Errr, yeah.
So would you stop going to Red Lobster because they stopped serving hamburgers?

Face it, the Cherry Strudel isnt the primary product for a premier sandwhich shoppe.
if you want breakfast pastries, try going to a bakery, not a sandwich shoppe.
