panel in dell 1905fp

i read on a forum that the dell 1905fp lcd comes with a samsung panel or (recently) with a AUO M190EN03 V016 panel .. that last panel seems to be with overdrive, making it faster.
i did read a review about the latest version ViewSonic VP191b that comes with that latest AUO panel

anyone having more info about the 1905fp coming with that faster AUO panel . is it the one that comes with that viewsonic? ( in that case it seems a good buy)

Last I knew it was the Samsung panel... just got the 1905FP last week......

I would naturally assume a different panel would=new model number....

But Dell sometimes does weird crap like that.

this has been discusseed extensively in hot deals in the Dell LCD threads
most say they cant tell diff, tho specs are better for auo

Edit..... Found them... Looks like I got the Samsung... Which is good as I hate being mislead into buying something and finding out the specs are different..... whether the the other panel is better or not.

DEll should apply a new model number or rev number specifically to anything that's different.

reading all info about this subject i get the impression that if the dell comes with the AUO panel the screen doesn't have the performance that the viewsonic seems to have.
(guess it has to do with the way it is programmed?)

so for now i will wait till the viewsonic comes at a better price or dell comes with a new 19" version.

Be careful there.... THe dell uses an 8 bit panel which makes a world of difference for color, and overall quality of image. Not sure what the New Viewsonic uses.

So far I like my 1905, Little bit of ghosting in some games, mainly red colors. -but everyone's eyes are different, I play Call of Duty and so far am satified with it's performance in that game.

from what i understand the viewsonic has the same AUO panel .. .. 8 bit

anyway , i tried to get some info from dell about the panels in the 1905fp but i got as reply they don't have that available.
