Panda Security

My Panda Internet Security 2009 ran out and need to renew it and was wondering if it good to renew it. or get something differnt.

the only reason i am asking is i don't if panda is rescoure hog or not.

I was going to renew with Panda Antivirus Pro 2010 it' $50 bucks instead of $80.

I don't think it's the best choice for A/V. I don't know about the weight, but I don't think it's detection rate is worth the price. I use Antivir Free, and if I were to pay for A/V I'd buy the pay for product. My short list of A/V I'd consider...

Symantec
MS
NOD32

get a free antivirus (antivir, avast etc...)
use the windows firewall or a free alternative (comodo, kerio etc..)
use free antispyware/malware (superantispyware, spywareblaster etc...)

No, you shouldn't. Panda's site would be the best place to check, but Symantec's the only one I know of that has a uninstall tool.
