I like waffles over pancakes. I've never been the biggest fan of pancakes.

That said though I prefer french toast over pancakes and waffles.

Why no love for the french toast? It is greater then all by leaps and bounds. The others 2 are not even in the same universe.

That's probably why they aren't being compared :p I'd pick French Toast over pancakes and waffles.

That said, CREPES ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bad Waffle < Bad Pancake < Good Pancake < Good Waffle

Waffles are harder to make good as well.

Despite what most here are saying regarding waffles......(poll shows waffle favoritism)........there's a place by me here in So Cal that serves pancakes that are about 12"-14" in diameter and about 3/4" thick. (No, I'm not lyin'....three mother freakin' quarters of an inch THICK!!!)

They also serve good omelettes, biscuits & gravy, sausage, bacon, etc. (mmmm bacon)

Because the pancake hangs over the rim of the plate, you literally have to eat it from the inside-out. As such this creates an awesome pocket for the butter & syrup to pool into. Few can even finish just 1 of these pancakes. This is truly heaven!

Another good call is CoCo's (not sure if CoCo's is nationwide or not) Cinnamon-Roll-French-Toast!!!! Super-potent, nice & heavy, filling & gratifying eats. Drown it in butter & syrup & orgasm in your seat!! One of the better breakfast items I've eaten at a chain restaurant.

I'm ready to pour some syrup on my fist & gnaw it off I'm so friggin' hungry right now!

God I love em both, but the sweetness and the syrup always gives me about a 6 hour gut ache so I have to abstain.

Instead the most sugary thing I can eat without getting sick is toast and jam.

I do like a good corn beef hash mixed in with some over easy eggs a hellofalot though!

Waffles are designed to hold on to more of the good stuff and can be folded and eaten without losing as much of that good stuff. Waffles are King.

Put jam on your waffles, is good.
