Yep, I'm having pancakes with cheese and ham sauce baked in the oven for dinner and then doing some sweet pancakes for dessert with the left over batter.

mmmmm 🙂

WTF are you two talking about

<---(genuinely curious)
It's Shrove Tuesday today, the day before the traditional start of Lent.
Thus you make pancakes to use up all of your butter/milk etc.

Our pancakes are very different to US ones though, much more like crepes.

fyi, these are generally not on the american style thick sweet pancake...these are thin savoury pancakes, you can add what you want on em.

We call it Fat Tuesday, and in the past twenty years or so the tradition has been to celebrate it Louisiana Mardi Gras style. This entails drinking heavily and eating bastardized American\French food. It's a blast really.

I'll have to have a Pancake day next year 🙂

ahhh, crepes, well that's a different story. Those are good with some orange sauce or ice cream, but ham sauce? that's still ewwwwwwwwwww.

According to my religion, today, Trashed Tuesday. Massive quantities of alcohol, junk food and fried chicken are to be consumed at an alarmingly rapid rate, to make way for Wasted Wednesday, Turgurglin' Thursday and Freak Out Friday.

That sounds a lot better to me than pouring cheeze whiz on some pancakes... 🙂
