Here is how i did it. Bought it from Crutchfield online for around 550 (plus 20 bucks shipping minus 25 bucks first time coupon). No Tax for CA.
Then Pricematched it to J&R at 470$ using AMEX Blue. (u can also do broadway computer for 460 i imagine)

This was the best deal I could get on the Tau 27" perfectly flat. Love the TV!

Got it for about 460$ shipped.

This is more like a "Hot = Amex Blue" thread, but I also did this a while back for a large screen projection SONY. I ordered direct from Sony, which included free "white glove delivery." (Unfortunately, to my disappointment, the guys didn't actually come in wearing white gloves.)

I price matched to the cheapest online place at the time, which was Crazy Eddie, and just about maxed out the Blue PM limit. I got a $230 check from Amex, with all the perks of buying direct from Sony. Of course, I've since blown the $230 on other Hot Deals...

The same TV is for sale for $ 449.99 thru a Navy Exchange from Feb. 27-Mar. 3. Yes, you have to be in the military, or be retired from the military or know a person that meets these qualifications. Plus , you will not have pay sales tax.
