First post, blah blah. From the wonderful people over at FW. Sweet deal on a wet/dry electric that is supposedly one of Panasonic's top end shavers.

Razor for $39.99

Do some Googlage for a $5 off coupon. If this has been posted already, my appologies.

DOH!!! I have this razor and yes I paid more than $40. I think I got it for $80 after BVG.

This is the best electric I've ever used and I've tried a lot. I have very thick facial hair and it works well for me. One thing though. I works well if you shave every day. If you skip a day, forget it. It won't shave close.

I can't find the coupon either.

Is it special just to shavers or the group? or $5 off $25 or something like that?

Wow, KK, where'd you get that quote from?

You can't get as close a shave with an electric as you would a regular razor like the Mach III or similar. What I love about a wet/dry electric shaver though, is using it in the shower. As with any razor, I believe there's an adjustment period where your face gets used to it...if you haven't tried one this would've been a perfect one to try. Great razor for a very good price. I've used both a Norelco rotary style and this Panasonic linear...and I prefer the linear...but then again that's what works best for me. I'm not exactly a "hairy" person so someone else with more facial hair might have a different experience.

Just my two cents.

The Mach3 or any disposable razor requires that you shave against the grain to get a truly smooth shave. These electrics leave your face as smooth as a thorough shave with a Mach3; the only difference, at least in my case, is that with a disposable razor shaving against the grain, you are cutting the hair off much further below the surface of your skin so your face will stay smoother a few hours longer than with an electric. That experience is with a 4 or 5 year old Panasonic, though and these new ones might be even better.

Anyway, glad I got in on this a couple hours ago while they were still in stock. I had a $10 GC which made it a cool $29.99. :)
