Panasonic Shavers

I'm in the need of a new shaver, I sense that my Linear is slowly dying. Anyway, I'd like to buy another Linear but I remember hearing that Panasonic is going to come out with a successor to the Linear line. Does anyone know this for a fact or is it just another internet rumor?

ii've got a braun synchro, and seriously have never used a better razor.

Yeah, I was considering either a Braun or Panasonic. Money is no object, I want top of the line. I have a Norelco Advantage I bought when they first came out but I didn't really like the 3 heads. Then I bought the Linear and I really like it. I think it would be much better though with 4 heads since the power is there. The Linears are 13,000 RPMs whereas the Brauns are 8,500 I believe.

I've heard bad stories about the self-cleaning system that the Braun offers though...

whta kind of bad stories? mines been a godsend for the past year and a half.

I read that after a few cleanings, the spaces between the blades start to build up residue and it has to be brushed away.

you know what really sucks-- Nate, maybe you can help me out on this-- i dropped my cleaning doodad the other day, and chipped a pretty big peice on it, so now it works, but barely and makes some crazy noises. have you seen anywhere that they sell just hte cleaning doodad without the razor?

Ouch... raw deal you got there.

I wasn't able to find anything online, but i'm sure if you contact Braun's Customer Service they could fill you in on whether you can get one or not.

Ok, so if I go with the Braun, is there any noticble differences between the 7680 and 7526?

exact same razor, right? one just has the little display i think, right?

Yup, one has a LCD the other just color LEDs..
