Panasonic PV-Gs150

Just wondering what people thought about this camcorder. It seems like a great little Mini DV camera. I'm picking one up for my wife for Xmas. Anyone have first hand knowledge on it?

I've got it. Great camera. Films very acurate colors and crisp detail in good lighting. Low light filming is not as great, some grain in the picture, but still good. Haven't had any problems with it.

Only suggestions:
- if you live in a humid climate find one of those little packets that soak up the ambient moisture in the air (like you find in food packages, etc.).
- there have been reports of damage from extreme ambient moisture (filming around large waterfalls - Victoria Falls, etc.).

Edit: Almost forgot, the EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) is useless. So get a cheap Steadicam (or make one of your own) or use DeShake to stabilize your handheld shots.

Video Cameras don't film anything!

Thanks for the info. I got it for $516 shipped from Butterflyphoto. Should have it in the next week. It's an Xmas present for the wife to go along with her digital camera and printer!
