Panasonic Plasma Screen is not turning on

Does anything light up? (i.e. standby lamp)
Probably the power supply. If out of warranty probably $100 or so.
 
Wrong forum, there is an Audio/Video forum here. And wait until you can talk to their customer service, Panasonic has top notch service for their TVs. I've dealt with them once and they really were impressive.

Nothing lights up. It doesnt turn on at all. And i thought it would be the power supply. Thanks

Bignate603: oh yeah, sorry about that. And yeah im not gonna do anything until i talk with them tomorrow. I just wanted to get an idea of what was up. But Im glad to hear that their customer service is top notch.
 
You've tried turning it on using the buttons on it, and not just with the remote right?

It's not plugged into a switched outlet that has been turned off right? (I'm guilty of this one myself.)
 
The same thing happened to mine. Somehow, it overheated. Here is what I did and it worked like a charm.
I tied a rope around it and lowered it into my pool. Be careful and don't scratch the glass when lowering it!
Let it sit in the water for no more than five minutes. Any longer and the plasma gas won't be able to displace the water. Pull it out and let it dry for 24 hours. I am not sure if it makes a difference but I have more heat vents at the top of mine so I dried it upside down.

EDIT:
Don't forget to disconnect the HTPC before doing the above.

Crap. I had mine upside down to dry. This was probably the issue the whole time. :\

Yep. You probably just need to check the power supply for bulging/blown caps, replace them and you should be good. I recently replaced the caps on my parent's Samsung LCD which was having problems powering on. After the fix, the TV powers up normally now.

This. I've fixed sooooooo many lcds this way, and Plasmas are even harder on the power supply and supporting circuitry components.
 
Probably failed Electrolytic Capacitors in the PSU. Edit: I see you guys have this covered.

One thing to try is to unplug and hold the power button, then leave it unplugged for a long time before plugging in again and trying. Also, make sure the outlet isn't conected to a light switch somewhere that got bumped off, like mine is. XD Oh! And the power cord might be detachable. Check the connection on BOTH ends.

Just be careful poking around in there. PSUs are dangerous. Look for simple things, like fuses, first.
