Panasonic Lumix FZ-20/15/3, what's with the hype?

Looks like awesome cameras for a great price. But what's with all the grain?
Only ISO80 too and the images are already so grainy.

Have you seen the new H1 from Sony? It looks more promising than the panasonic...though that depends all on how well the IS performs

Good one. You're talking about a point and shoot camera that's usually used to take snapshots of people and a few decent scenery pictures. Here you are complaining about minor grain in some of the sample pictures although though 'it's an awesome camera for a great price.' What else is there to add?

minor grain? that looks like a lot of grain to me. I'm upgrading from a canon S30, and that has equivalent grain at ISO200. And that's comming from a much cheaper camera.
