I have the gt25 but i am thinking about returning it and upgrading to the st30 because it's only $90 difference. Is it worth it? I will mainly be using it for gaming/blu rays.

The GT25 is last years G model, and the ST30 is this years S model.

The S models are typically the model below the G models, you are just trading for a newer model year.

What about the GT30? Can you use the extra HDMI input that the G-series has? Though, GT30 and ST30 are >$300 price difference.

I personally like the design of the 2011 lineup more than the 2010 lineup, so given the choice between the ST30 and GT25, I'd go with the ST30.

id do that trade, you lose THX mode but you don't need it, go check out the AVS threads on both TVs im pretty sure the S is a better TV, even out of the 2011 models the S is considered a better buy then the G

I sat in front of a 50GT30 the other day at Fry's for 15 minutes watching Avatar on bluray. It was initially set on "Vivid" which made it overly bright so I switched it to THX which looked spectacular, unfortunately they didn't have a ST30 to compare it with. Seems to me that Panasonic gets the least amount of love from Fry's in regards to TVs. I had to ask someone where the GT30 was located, and it was off on the side by itself hooked up to a slow ass bluray player, all the while the Samsung, LG, Sony's are all in the regular area for TVs.

The next day I went to Best Buy and checked out the ST30, but I couldn't do a great job comparing it with the GT30 because it was showing some standard Best Buy programming and was mounted way up high on the wall so I couldn't play with the settings. Also, someone needs to tell Best Buy how TV comparison works...It doesn't help people by putting a low-end Panasonic plasma on top of a high end Sony LCD next to a giant Samsung LED all showing some random Best Buy junk on it.

Plasmas are always going to be put off to the side. It's just how it is.

Possibly in some cases. At least at the Fry's I am closest to they put the LG and Samsung plasmas right in the mix with the LED and LCD TV's. Could also be that Panasonic isn't discounting their product to Fry's as high as the other makers, or paying for product placement...
