I have been asked start doing videography for my church. I am going to shoot banquets, communions, weddings, etc. I am looking for a good starting point with a camera. I have read reviews on both the DVX100a and the DVC30 and they both seem to have good picture quality. Does progressive justify $1000 increase on the DVX100a? I don't think many people who would purchase the video have HD tv's. My only concern is which camera would perform better in low-light situations, since the church is always dimly lit even during events. Can anybody comment or compare these for the uses stated above? Which is a better bang for the buck? Any other models under $3000 that would also be a good choice?
Thanks for any input.
