panamax m8-ht problem

I have a Panamax M8-HT line conditioner, and plugged into it are a Sony 40"HDTV, a blu ray player, and a comcast cable box. It seems to be working fine. Except, I occasionally plug a laptop into it while working on the laptop. When I unplug the laptop from the Panamax, the TV turns off.

Any ideas what is causing this?

I got a "great" deal on it on E-bay, so I don't have a warranty.
