Panaflow Fans

Which fan should I get:
Numba 1 (Medium Speed)

Numba 2 (High Speed)

Numba 3 (Uber High Speed)

It will be running a lot at full 12v all the time. I was thinking the high speed (#2) as it offers 100+ CFM at only 5 more dba's compared to the Medium Speed one.

P.S. How loud is 41dba compared to 35dba? And how loud would 41/35dba be?

If you have a controller, get the uber, if not, get the high speed.

41dBA is very noticeable in a room
35dBA is noticeable in room, but not too bad

but you can not trust the specs from a mfgrs as you don't know at what distance that noise was recorded, and what the surrounding noise was.

I would go wiht the numba1, sufficient airflow, not too loud

So I guess I'm getting the uber fast 114 cfm one!!! That controller, does it have the 3pin connector that the fan uses? or will I have to use a adapter to convert to the 3pin.

That is the same one right? The black goes a hell of alot better with my case then the silver does.

Do what you want but I have bench tested that very uber-goober fan with a Sunbeam Rheobus and it undervolts with protest. It growns and moans=Fact. You'll find out.

Go with number two. The 83cfm job tends to vibrate in my testing when undervolted.

When your ready I have some new 103cfm Sanyo Denki 120x38 fans that are vibration free and have a sensor/tach wire. PM me if you are really interested.

I have the "high", and without a fan speed controller it was very annoying.

Got the fanspeed controller in, and when set on the lowest - almost entirely inaudible.

I love fan speed controllers.

I have the exact same setup with the 114 cfm uber fan and the rheobus and there is no undervolting dude...

It's rated at 12V, 20 watts, that's enough for all of these fans. In fact, on my rig, I'm running both the high and the ultrahigh panaflos and the ultra high, if not pushing more air, is a little louder at full voltage on the rheobus so something is going right...
