Panaflo or Sunon

I have been looking into getting 5 80 mm Case fans and have narrowed it down to Sunon or Panaflo. I saw that Sunon are cheaper. Noise is not a factor so which ones will push the most air. 4 of them will be hooked up to a Fan controller. Please help me out if you can. thanks

I personally would go with the Panaflo's.

Much better fans that come in L (low) M (medium) H (high) and U (ultra) configurations.

Be careful about the controller you buy if you go with Panaflo or Sunon Maglev type fans - they can actually be noisier if you run them on a PWM fan controller - so you need linear voltage regulator or rheostat for those type fans. PWM seem to get along better with ball bearing fans.

If Max CFM is your goal, then Delta dual ball bearing fans are the way to go. You can get over 220 CFM if you want (as long as you don't mind your PC sounding like a hovercraft) - I don't think any 12V Panaflo can do that.

I've only heard of that happening with cheap PWM based fan controllers. I've built several different systems where every fan is a Panaflo and controlled via the MB's fan headers. All went well every time, no extra noise doe to PWM.

If i was to buy any kind of fan what would you suggest. I am on a college student budget and need 5 of them so price is a concern. High CFM and sound does not matter...

Please let me know....thanks for all the help

Sunon's are quality fans, they just aren't very quiet. Seeing as they can be found relatively cheaply and you don't care about noise Sunon would be a fine choice.

And here I come in and say that a Sunon 80mm would drive me batty in a few seconds... they do push a lot of air though. Delta fans are even better for pushing air.
