Which 80mm fan is quieter? The Silencer is rated at 20dba (28cfm) while the Panaflo L1A is 21dba (24cfm). I'm a bit skeptical when it comes to noise specs, so does anyone here have any experiences with BOTH fans? Thx!

Oh and I'm planning on using 1 with a 60mm-to-80mm cpu adapter, and 2 as case fans.

I am suing both 80mm fans in my system. From my experience, Silencer is little bit more quieter than Panaflo L1A.
But when I put my palm in front of each fan, I can tell Panaflo producing more cfm. Silencer rated 28cfm and L1A rated 24cfm.
I don't know why (probably my primitive measurement method).

My assumption between these two fans is the PCP&C does in fact blow 28cfm, and the Panaflo L1a does blow 24cfm, but due to the curve in the panaflo fans it blows the air more straight. But as with the PCP&C blow is a spread fire but blows more volume of air = 28cfm. I have played with both fans alot and using the crude measurement of putting your hand/fan or whatever part of your body infront of the fan :p They feel very close to exactly the same "Air presure", but there actual CFM might be in fact be different.

I also beleive that this blade design is more efficent with larger fans 92mm and up as you can see off from there specs does poorly at 80mm and 60mm.

Also whats nice about PCP&C free shipping! and they give you free thumb screws
