i need a 120mm fan for the front of a sonata ii. i just want to make sure this is the best fan i can buy. everybody seems to recommend it and i really want a quiet computer.

is it quieter than the stock antec exhaust fan?

i went to that site...the 120x120x38 doesnt meet the sonata specifications... 120x120x25. i saw other sites that sell it at 25mm but i dont trust them...argh!!

Yes, the panaflos are really the only choice for 80mm. As they get bigger they aren't as good. I would highly recommend Nexus, and Yate Loon though.

wait the nexus runs at 12v...so if i get a fan controller and i want to turn up the voltage during a game or somethign i cant...would it make more sense to just get like a $10 30db fan from antec and lower the speed with a fan controller?

The 120mm Panaflos still aren't very loud. I have one bolted to the side window of my case atm. Remember they use a different kind of bearing and sound different regardless of decibel rating. I find the panaflo noise to be much less noticeable than most balll bearing fans.
