I bought a panaflo L1A and it came with a red and blue wire connected to a red 2 pin adapter, but my motherboard takes the 3 pin adapter configuration, how can i connect this fan to my motherboard?

The three pins on your mobo are power, ground, and sensor. The panaflo L1a does not include a sensor wire so plug it into only the power and ground connectors on the mobo. If you are unsure which pin is which, just plug it in and give it a quick test. If it powers on, you have it right. No power means switch the placement.

Cut off the "nub" on the connector closest to the red wire. You can then plug it into your motherboard.

i can't believe they charge 1.50 for those... add shipping and you really get screwed over.. just my opinion maybe. soldering is easy enough for me.. even crimping the wires together would be cheaper! but i have no fear of tearing into electronics and wires and what not like some ppl do, so i spose thats who frozencpu and the others are playing into.. and they get the $ for em so they can sell em for that. heh eh...love how marketing works.. but if they'd actually think about it, lower the price to what it "should" cost (maybe a quarter) they'd sell a lot more and prob make just as much.. maybe, maybe not. haha oh well..

yeah i asked over here because those nubs were getting in the way, I actually pushed the motherboard part that was gettin in the way instead of cuttin off the nub on the fan which would have been easier and safer....but of course i didnt think bout that 😱

The fan works, but I dont think this is the type of fan i wanted, i mean it lives up to its quietness expectation but the amount of air it pushes is not as much as i expected it to be from what i heard everyone saying that the L1A's push a good amount of air but i guess for a quiet fan, you can't expect much more.
