Panaflo 92mm fan and Asus A8N-SLI-Deluxe

Hello,

The Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe mobo manual says the fan headers can support fans from 350mA~2000mA (24W max.) however my 92mm Panaflo fan only requires ~225mA to run.

Can running a fan with a smaller current than is required hurt the mobo? Why is there a floor limit on the fan headers?
