Panaflo 80mm H1A, and Ultras.

Anyone use these suckers? Are they quiet for their rated CFMs? I've tried using the L1As, and they are quiet/silent, but don't push enough air for my tastes.

I had 4 H1As, then 4 U1As... as far as i remember... they both pretty much sounded the same... far from silent.

Thanks, pretty much what I wanted to know. But are they quieter than regular fans of equal cfm ratings?

Honestly...maybe if i was running only one or two i would've noticed... they're quieter than the 80mm Sunons i had though.

I've found the trick to using the H1A's is to control them with a rheobus. I use 4 H1A 80MM's in my main system, and 2 H1A's in my game system (in conjuction with 2-120MM L1A's), both using Sunbeam rheobus setups.

The minute you turn them down from the "high" (12v) posiition, their noise level drops dramatically! At the 7V level they are as quiet as the L1A's, but push more air. My main system is running 24/7, and sits next to my entertainment center in my living room. At the 7V setting, the fans are inaudible while watching quiet scenes on TV or DVD's.
