Alright. Who else is addicted? My girlfriend played for 18 hours concurrent recently. Initially she wasn't very interested as I was playing it as she played Diablo IV. Then I bought it for a friend (we buy games for one another) and decided to pick it up for myself.

I've never been remotely interested in Pokemon. I've been underwhelmed by ARK. Just isn't really that fun to me.

But Palworld, oh man. We've been racking up the hours. Best new IP in a long time. Game of 2024.
 
ARK is only fun if you play with some friends. I feel that way about Palworld a bit as well, but between the pals doing work for you and drastically easier environment, it's not that bad solo.
 
To be honest I heard about this game all around the Internet, but looking at gameplays it doesn't seem so interesting at all. Why is everyone so crazy about it? It's liek the same Pokemon viruse that burst all aorund the world when Pokemon Go was popular.

Because it's fun. I don't even like Pokémon and ARK doesn't really do anything for me.

I went into it with zero expectations. Turns out it's the funnest game I've played in over a decade. Girlfriend watched me play and wasn't all that intrigued, then she sat down and played it and started knocking out 18hr sessions.

It's just fun. It's a damn good game.

I will really try to give it a chance, beside that my friends asked me for a long time to play with them. I jsut hope that it won't be a dissapointment like Animal Crossing which I played only one and for which I bought a Nintendo Switch, that now is just useless as there are not games to play in.

Yeah I tried Animal Crossing. Have friends that are into it. Just couldn't bring myself to enjoy it.
