On my old MB (an ECS K7S5A) , my XP1800 would run a 146 FSB using an oc utility called "Speedfan" . Then , I changed the MB for a shiny new Gigabyte GA7-VAX (KT400) , and now , on this supposedly "better" (and certainly more expensive) board , the FSB will NOT run higher than 142MHz . Higher settings boot into Windows just fine , but the system freezes/crashes as soon as I try yo run a 3D game or benchmark . I figure it's the AGP bus , but I never had this problem with the old K7S5A , which lacks any BIOS oc options (hence the use of Speedfan) . Any suggestions ?
