I think it should be comming out early this summer (not totally sure). Its going to be an AWESOME chip though. This new architecture they are using is great. The default core voltage is only 1.1V!!! That will make for some awesome overclocking! I can't wait!

One more thing, you will be able to use it in current Socket A DDR mobos.

Where did you hear 1.1V core voltage?
I know a few boards go that low but not many, and even so I can't imagine the Palomino requiring only 1.1V.
BTW, Palomino is hardly a new architecture it's not even that much more than a T-Bird optimized for slightly higher clockspeeds and reduced power consumption/temperature. The Thoroughbred is the real 're-design' of the Athlon architecture. And you won't see an entirely NEW architecture from AMD until the K8.

And while it's likely that it will be compatible with current KT133A/AMD 760/ALI Magik 1 mobos we have no verifiable confirmation of that yet.

I'm thinking around 1.5V for the Palomino, or perhaps 1.4V at the low-end.

"(AMD President Hector) Ruiz did present an updated AMD roadmap that showed its next generation Palomino MPU with clock rates greater than 1.2-GHz will enter production for desktops and mobile this quarter." --EBnews

It'll take longer than a month to go from entering production, to them becoming available.

Here's their roadmap
