I want to upgrade my computer processor. I can support a 2000+ XP T bred or a 2100+ Palomino.

I have the Abit KG7 board. It doesn't explicitly say that it supports the 2100+ T bred, but does anyone have any experience with putting a 2100+ T bred on a KG7? Can it be done?

How high can I overclock this processor? Is OCing a 2100+ to 1900 mhz realistic given that it runs at 1730mhz?

Any help would be appreciated.

What is the difference between a Palomino and a T-bred

overclocking a t-bred 2100+ to the actual clock of 1900 is VERY possible, especially if you get ur hands on a new T-Bred B Core. people have gotten a t-bred b core 1700+ all the way to 2ghz actually clock. so it's very possible you can even do better with a 2100 t-bred b core.

as far as the difference between a palamino and a t-bred, the palamino uses a .15nm processing as to a t-bred uses a .13nm process. that's the only difference, but this allows for higher clocks and lower power requirements, if you were to go with a processor, go with a t-bred. palaminos are around, but they aren't making them anymore and not many places (from my knowledge) carry them anymore.

hope this helps.

This chip is supposed to be very good! Plus it runs a default vcore of 1.5 which is a plus. I have one waiting for my 8RDA+ to arrive. According to http://mp3.zonebg.com/cpu/cpu.php it is supposed to be rebadged from a 2800, but who knows. I am just very happy about the lower voltage.
