I'd like to buy a new system now, but be as open as possible to upgrade later. I want to go with an Athlon C for now (1GHz most likely) and plug in a Palomino when they've ripened for the pick in about a year or so. However, most mainboards currently on the market with the Via KT266 seem to be limited to a multiplier of 12.5. Hence, it will be difficult to adjust to the speed of the CPU's that will be coming out, 2 GHz seemingly being the ultimate goal for the Palomino. Which mainboard would you recommend to be maximally flexible? Or should I stay put and wait for the mainboards to come once the Palomino is actually out?
Thanks
