Yes it supports it. Most require a BIOS upgrade to benefit from the SSE instructions. Many don't have the BIOS upgrade out yet.

Actually, 8K7A does not support SSE yet. Palomino works fine, but SSE is still disabled. The only AMD761 based board that that supports SSE I am personally aware of is the K7 Master (I had one before with a Palo). I've heard Gigabyte's 7DXR have it enabled, but I have not tried it so I cannot personally confirm this.

Tako: there is a new beta bios (1802) out for the 8k7a, and SSE is functional

Tako:

The newly released 1805 beta BIOS for 8K7A does fully support AthlonMP (Palomino) and enables SSE functionality. I've verified this with several SSE proggies I use on a daily basis (Photoshop being the most notorious).

rickn and others,

Yowza! Two minutes after my post, I see there is a new BIOS release today! And OF COURSE it has Palomino SSE support. ;) I must download and install it tonight. Thanks for the heads up~! For those needing a link, it's HERE

I doubt there will be internal diode readouts on currently released motherboards based on 761 chipset. Most, I believe, are hard-wired to VIA southbridge's temp monitor circuit.
