Sammy asks, "How would you explain the contrasting attitudes towards Israel between this administration and those before it?"

That answer is rather simple, Turkey supported an end to the Israeli blockade of Gaza, and let respected international peace advocates and Nobel prize winners sail out of Turkey in last years freedom flotillas. In return, Israeli soldiers used excessive force, killed 9 Turks, and in international waters to boot. A simple Israeli I am sorry could have gone a long way, but your Bozo Netanyuhu is too vain to even offer that. And now its too late.

But now Israel has many new problems in intelligence gathering, as Israeli military overflights of its neighbors that were merely illegal before become increasing hazardous to Israeli pilot's lives as Radar systems improve.

As Syrian weapons are already moving to Hezbollah in anticipation of Assad's fall. Technically as soon as a Israeli war plane strays into a foreign countries air space, it can be shot down with impunity, but if the Israeli war plane takes any hostile action, its an Israeli act of war. If Egypt and Jordon follow suit, Israeli intel will be severely limited. Israel still has satellites, but the resolution is no where as good.

To JS80, is that is all you have in your pea brain? Israel has taken an international beating in the last decade, and it is getting far far worse in the past two years, yet all you and Nebor can come up with is blaming me, Craig234, igas, and abx, when we have not caused the Israeli grief in any way.

Get a clue, JS80, Israeli credibility is eroding because Israeli actions are no longer acceptable in a more modern world. Israel is now under the world microscope, and very few fair minded people in the world like what they see.

Even Columbia, who was prepared to give the past Israeli blockade of Gaza some cred in the Palmer report, seems prepared to vote for Palestinian Statehood in 15 days, along with almost 73% of world nations in the UN at last count.

But wow oh wow, I can be a proud member of the gang of four that single handled changed world opinion, but somehow I highly doubt it.

Almost 100% of the real credit for changing world opinion against Israel has to go to Bozo Netanyuhu and Israeli Government stupidity.

But if you feel froggie JS80, ask any world leader or man on the street if they have ever heard of Lemon Law, Craig234, igas, or abx, or even wwswimmingly, and 99.999999% will say never heard of them. Of course they will say the same thing about JS80.

Alright LL, I'll bet you $250 that Palestine doesn't get statehood in 15 days. Deal?

Earth to Nebor, I don't think of it as a betting matter, Palestinians may not get a State on 9/20/2011, but the Israeli military occupation that has lasted 44 years will not last much longer either. Unlike you, I don't consider it a military matter, and hope in the future processes it becomes a win win win situation for Israelis, Palestinians, and Arabs.

I don't consider it a military matter. I don't really care. But I find it truly illuminates peoples' closely held convictions and pet issues when you try to make them put their money where their mouth is.

It's fear of being drawn into the Syrian civil-war rather than fear of hezbollah's air-defense prowess that's prompting the Israeli Air Forces moves to tighten overflight procedures to avoid "incidents" which become excuses for the same. Because the Israelis know that the common Syrian and Lebanese citizens are nothing but cannon-fodder for Assad and Nasrallah and they would do anything to maintain their hold on power, including triggering a war with Israel. Assad tried that stunt in the Golan-Heights at the beginning of the uprising against him without much success.

You really ought to put away those hezbollah and hamas tinted glasses. They're affecting your eyesight.
