Palm VII won't keep correct date but keeps the right time?

Can anyone help me out here. My palm does not keep the proper date, but the time always stays correct. I'm running palm os 3.2.5.

Probably the small area of SRAM that holds the date is bad--always the same memory addresses used for date.

p.s. ?s like this should be placed in Tech Support forum and self bumps should be no less than 6 hours apart.bh.
