I have a Droid X, and I'm just curious as to the true every day experience you get with Web OS. I know what to expect basically, but I just want to use it and see how well I like it and if I would trade my Droid X for some new Web OS device.

I received a relatively cheap offer for one so I'm tempted to do it. Is there any point to jump in this late in the game with Web OS 2.0 releasing extremely soon?

Also, if anyone has a VZW Pre they want to sell for cheap, PM me! :D

It's not as though it will be replacing my phone completely. I just want to test out WebOS for cheap before the Pre 2 arrives on the scene.

If you can get one for less than a $100 I would just for the experience with the OS. I had one for a while and loved the OS, just hated the phone. The Pre 2 isn't going to change that either. I would love for a nice WebOS phone to come out but that is going to be next year at the earliest.

If there are any Pre's left at the Verizon store, go there and test them out. I would not invest a dime into any kind of WebOS device until HP/Palm has a winning device released. Unfortunately even the Pre2 is not that device. Expect to wait for almost a year for WebOS to truly come to fruition.

I'm actually starting to get a little sad that in a months time I will no longer be using Web OS. I played around with Android over the weekend and really just don't think it holds a candle to Web OS. Unfortunately though, Android is where the hardware is at so that is the direction I'm going for now. I wish MS had released WP7 on CDMA so I could least give that a try but who knows how long it will be before Sprint has it.

OP, to be honest, I would pass. Web OS is awesome and you don't want to play around with it only to find out you just can't use the best OS out there because it isn't available on hardware worthy of its awesomeness.

WebOs is a great OS, not a ton of good aps, and the phone itself was underwhelming at best. My girlfriend wanted to love it and so did I, but it was fighting a losing battle against my hero, she now has a hero.

i have an android, and would go back to webOS in a heartbeat. Honestly, it has all the apps I needed. Too bad the salt water got my palm device R.I.P.
