I remember some place selling the Sony Clie for $320... more memory than the Palm Vx in the form of the 8mb memory stick, 2mb rom and 8mb ram

Thanks, but I was interested in the Palm Vx for the small size. Anyone?

Hm.... the Sony has USB connection...

Anyone know how the Sony Clie (gay name) compares to the Palm Vx (bida-bomb name) :)

Got the sony clie for my sister... I don't like the screen that much.. I like the expansion slot (that can be used to run apps on)... I personally think it has more potential than the Palms and I got it for $320. But I would not trade my Compaq iPAQ for anything! I love my ipaq... but 500 is a big difference than 320... I hardly even use it, but I am picky. Sony also does not feel very sturdy compared to my ipaq... the sony feels flimsy, but I think the reviews on the net about the flimsyness is overblown.

BTW: I have not spent any time physically using the palm... just a lot of time comparing all the current PDAs in performance and value.

Isn't the iPaq a WinCE machine? For some reason, I really hated these because I had a machine with WinCE v1 back in the pre-dinosaur age...

Left a bad taste...

worse than Absolut Citron Vodka and Instant Noodles...

Interesting link dude. Answer is no.
I will go through my bookmarks to see if I have anything from my research...
-The win ce in the ipAQ seems good to me. I don't get why so many don't like it. Maybe it works well cause the ipAQ has a 206 mhz processor and 32 sdram to help it. Anyone looking for a nice PDA to help link the their PC life and their PDA life will like the ease and integration between the ipaq and windows. I think most people in this world would have an easier life with the win ce. But, anyone who writes some of their programs will be happy with the palm. My uncle (a physicist who has to write a lot of his own programs) likes the palm os for that, but is very impressed with my ipaq.
-I had a very tough time deciding between the sony clie and the palm vx. Isnt the palm vx a lot more $ too?

Cassioepia's (sp) kick Palm's ass. No doubt. I used the older palms, and they were kind of a pain. I used my bro-in-law's Cassiopeia, and it is awesome. Nice Interface, and easy to use. Now, I have not gotten a chance to look at the new Palm's, so they might have improved on them, but I advise you check out the Cassiopeia's.

since that 20% off MSN passport coupon does not work for backordered items, anyone find any other good deals on the Palm Vx...i was looking around, the cheapest i could find it for was at www.iderive.com , they have the Palm Vx for 369.95$, and if you're able to pricematch that with staples.com, you'll be able to use the coupon, 40$ off of 150$ i believe...to get it down to 329.95, i've also seen the Palm Vx from http://www.acsestore.com/online-store/scstore/index.html for 366.95$, but will be 326.95$ after staples pricematch and 40$ coupon....one question though, what's the difference between the Franklin Planner edition and the normal edition?? thank you...and please post any cheaper deals you can find...
