Ok...I'm wanting a handheld to play around with. Haven't researched them much so I'm here asking for input from those who have and those who use them. I will probably get one of the less than $200 models since it will just be a toy. Suggestions?
Take a look at the Sony S360. 16MB of internal memory, a very, very, very nice backlight, jog dial, and memory stick support, all for around $200. The best value PDA around, period.
I am going to get a Clie, but I cannot decide between a S360 and a T415. They both have enough memory for me (16MB and 8MB, respectively), and I like the fact they have Documents To Go with them. I've read many reviews saying that the T415 screen is bad and can't be read, but the one I used in Best Buy looked fine for my young eyes. The only problem I had was that the screen flickered a lot, almost like it had a bad refresh rate or something. Was it probably just because it was roughed around a lot since it was a floor model? Does anyone else have this problem on their T415?
I love my 415. My flickers a little, but it's barely noticable.
The double res just kicks butt. For those that whine about the dark screen, I dont think they grasp the concept of contrast control. I've never had a problem.
I recently sold my IPAQ and went with the Sony T-615. Now don't get me wrong, I loved the IPAQ, but the Sony was exactly what I needed in regards to size, battery life, and add on applications. My wife loves her Visor, but I love the fact that i can use my Sony digital camera's memory stick with my PDA.
If you go to www.pdabuzz.com they have wonderfull reviews as well as topics.
