What's better Palm (Vx) or the Visor.
I know Palm but do not know any users of Visor - would anyone recommend this one (I can get(actually bought already, but can return) the Vx cheap (demo / Staples / $220 missing power/software/etui), but it's still about same what the Visor would cost me). I went on Palm's website and saw no Palm V's anymore, only Vx - did they stop making them? There are only Vx for sale.
Please help.
 
well if you got it for that cheap you should keep it, visor V's are very portable, I'd say get a nice rhinoskin bulletproof case for it too! 🙂
 
They took the V off the market, and replaced it with the Vx. I have a Vx, and have been very happy with it. At $220, it's a great deal, it'll probably run you about another $40-50 for the power supply though. Even so, at that price I would take the Vx over the Visor. The Visor is also an excellent product, and is available at much cheaper prices than the Vx, but that's not as much of an issue here, since you already got a very good price on the Vx. Make sure you check with 3com though, since some of the early Vxs had defective memory chips. (They have an area on their website where you can put in your serial number, and it'll let you know if your unit is affected)
 
Thanks guys. Found the powersupply "travel kit" at Staples (travelling abroad so this will be perfect), same for the pens. I have the cradle, only lacking is the powersupply which is included in this kit. Software can be downloaded from Palm's website.
Heard altough that the Vizors are more modern, like Mp3's, etc, like the new Compaq's, Sony's and HP. Anyway will stay with the Vx and wait for the other to get smaller and cheaper.
 
yea but those "more modern" parts will cost you an arm and a leg!! The mp3 player costs about $250-$300 for a 64mb pop and the modems run around $300 a pop too plus monthly fee!
