They said that they have been working on it for years under wrap. They did a pretty good job keeping it so quiet for so long.

years ? Could be just 2 years... when the Palm/PalmOne shifting was going on...

Regardless, I don't care if it's Palm or Windows... as long as it's the best functional product out there. It does suck though that the monthly cost will probably be $60/mo. Speaking from a personal user's perspective, not a business user, of course. I couldn't give 2 sh!ts about Outlook/Exchange or ActiveSync.

Watching now.

i'm gonna throw up. i can't believe that palm, which was doing fine by itself, succumbed to the microsoft pressure.

at least there's a possibility for a 700P...

The phone looks awesome. I'm going to get it when it comes out. I wish someone would ask about wifi. No mention yet of that.

UPDATE: NO WI-FI built in - only though expansion slot - at least on this version - future ones may have WI-FI

I wonder if the numbers they showed up on the screen are really their numbers? They have been receiving messages throughout the video. If so, I have Bill's #, not that I'd do anything with it. I hope those are mock numbers.

they seemed to use 555 numbers for most of them... I noticed Bill Gates' mobile number was not a 555 #... which is what you're referring to. ;)
