Greetings from one of your newest members :)

I'm planning on buying a PDA and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on which one to get. Preferably one with a long battery life, expandable, and simple to use.
So far, the palm m500 and m125 seem pretty decent, can anyone tell me what the difference betweent these are and if it's worth the extra cash?

any input helps,
thanks,

the palm m125 and the palm m500 difference is probably mostly just in its looks. the palm m500 is probably the nicest, thinnest, lightest Palm pilot out on the market. it's lighter, thinner and smaller than the visor edge as well. if you're willing to drop about 300 on the palm m500, go for it... word of advice, Dell often has these 20% off software and peripherals deals. wait for one of those and you can get the palm m500 for about 260... and next day shpping is only 7 dollars... and no tax unless you live in TX or a few other Dell states.

I myself have a Handspring Visor Deluxe... really old, but it gets the job done adequately. I thought of getting the m500 cuz it's lighter and newer... but instead my friend persuaded me to get the canon s110 digital camera instead (used the 20 percent off software and peripherals at dell... :) )

Oh yeah. Try Palm's website... i think they have a comparison thing... so compare the m125 to the m500.

oh, the m125 is also not rechargeable... and you'll definitely will want that capability. and it's pretty much a much thicker, not as sleek PDA...

go for the m500. Tell me how it is... i'm still considering it...

Both of them (like all Palm OS PDAs) use the same operating system and run the same software. The M125 runs on a pair of AAA batteries while the M500 has a rechargeable internal battery (both will last for days without charging). The M500 is quite a bit thinner and I like the design more. Both have a SD memory card slot.

After having been through 3 Palms, I finally went to Pocket PC. Pocket PCs have better screens, multimedia capability built-in, all of them have voice recorders, and have a ton of extras.

Palm handhelds are excellent for just managing your contacts, appointments, tasks, and expenses. If you want to do a bit of web surfing, listen to MP3s, play back video clips, or surf the web, Pocket PCs are more suited for those activities.
