Palm IIIe German...Is it worth it to reinstall or use as paper weight?

Hi all,
A friend of mine gave me his Palm IIIe as a gift this weekend. Unfortunately, the OS is in German. No I can not read German. I have no idea how to wipe out the OS and install a fresh copy in English Version. Does anyone out there still using Palm IIIe? Is it even worth my time? Your opinion is appreciated. Also if anyone has any clue as how to reload a fresh OS, please do tell. Thanks.

I don't believe the IIIe is flashable. The III is, and the IIIx is, but I think the IIIe has a permenant ROM due to it being a 'value' device.

If the device supports flashing, acquiring the English version of the ROM and flashing it is a simple proceedure.

There's no way to change the OS on a IIIe. But you can buy a IIIe on ebay for under 10 bucks.
