Palm Error Message

I get the following error messages at the same time when I run the palm desktop:
"The C:\palm\palmcmn.dll file appears to be corrupt. Reinstall the file, and then try again"
"C:\palm\palm.exe A device atttache to the system is not functioning"

This only happens when I have the Linksys wireless network card installed on the machine. It is a Dell inspiron 3800 running windows 98se.

Any ideas?
