I had a Palit 2GB 460 that screamed at anything above 30% fan speed. I've read a few honest reviews of Palit's OCd cards, and they are often found to be pretty loud; It's a shame, as I like the professional looks of the sonic platinum 570; looks like a Quadro, but X-Bit said it was noisy.
My understanding is Palit's are loud, period, but loud is relative... my rigs fold at night, and I used to hear the Palit card's high-pitched whining through a solid-core door at 2am. I RMAd the card once due to the noise, and the replacement was an exact match.
As an endnote, I had Palit's low-profile double-wide GTS450 in a den HTPC. It wasn't just loud... it was
"Jesus Christ what is that fu*king Delta/hair-dryer noise??!!.
Good luck with that company... MSI, EVGA and Sapphire are successful for a reason.
