I almost feel sorry for McCain having to deal with the 24 carat bitch but it was of his own doing.

Country first, right Sarah?

Someone from the (R) leadership needs to sit her down and tell her to STFU.

She's a pawn of the Social Conservatives. They see their grip on the GOP slipping when McCain looses this election and they desperately want to keep it so they are putting a bug in her ear. Hopefully she will be ostracized for her part in this defeat.

While she may be able to incite crowds of Repubs, she sure is a lousy politician...
Learning that there is a time and a place is something you should know even as the mayor of Wasilla!
Sara...the week before the election isn't it!
I sure hope she runs in 2012!!!

If McCain loses will it be because he's not evangelical enough? I think the GOP needs to break free from the far right social conservatives and leave people alone.

I hope the party fractures and the real Republicans finally get it back from the religious right idiots.

Bahahahahahahahahah

Sarah Palin is a joke, I can't believe that Republicans would actually want her for 2012. I mean I'm sure she's popular with the base, but I'd think she would turn off more moderate Republicans.

Some of the shots *she's* taken? This woman who all but calls Obama a terrorist, a socialist, and much more? You know, Dan Quayle tried to run again, too.

Palin offers herself to the people, but will enough people support her?She may be only fooling herself, and she will never be forgiven for pulling this stunt just before the election, wait to lose first, before giving McCain's eulogy speech dummy.

This is actually quite wrong. I'd consider myself a moderate republican who floats somewhere between a fiscal conservative and social liberal and she would have my vote in 2012.

In fact, I'm not voting for McCain in the hope that he does lose. If McCain loses, it's because he's not conservative enough. If he would have stood up to the bailout he would have actually had my vote.

Because she's demonstrated the intellectual capacity to run a country?

You'll be getting the bill to replace a monitor, laptop and keyboard, coffee spewed out my mouth and nose after reading this...

Remember everyone counted out a second rate actor named Reagan.
Palin does have a chance in 2012, at least for the nomination.
What has to happen:
1) The Alaska scandals must go away, and no more surface.
2) She must enhance her foreign policy credentials.

He's referring to the fact that she's too socially conservative for most people. As a self-described social liberal, how would you feel voting for Palin in 2012?

McCain's problem this election is that he isn't fiscally conservative and, because of Palin, comes off as being too socially conservative. The Republican party needs to actually stick to fiscal conservatism and move toward the center on social issues if they want to win a presidential election in the next few elections. I think most moderates are turned off by the religious/patriotic/intellectualism rhetoric.

The point is really moot, other than a kind of thorn in McCain's toe. 2012 will depend on how well Obama does. If he can manage to stay in the center and not let Pelosi run wild.... while helping the economy imrprove, he will be undefeatable in 2012 by anyone. If he blows it, the game is on. I expect he wont blow it.

For number 2, she needs to get a house in El Paso, so she can see Mexico from her porch, thus completing her North American and Central American foriegn policy credentials.

I agree...which means the real question is who will run in 2016...?

Bring Palin on in 2012. The Obama campaign will ruthlessly destroy her. She has no chance.

ELIZABETH VARGAS: If it doesn't go your way on Tuesday ... 2012?

GOV SARAH PALIN: I'm just ... thinkin' that it's gonna go our way on Tuesday, November 4. I truly believe that the wisdom of ... of the people will be revealed on that day. As they enter that voting booth, they will understand the stark contrast between the two tickets. ...

VARGAS: But the point being that you haven't been so bruised by some of the double standard, the sexism on the campaign trail, to say, "I've had it. I'm going back to Alaska."

PALIN: Absolutely not. I think that, if I were to give up and wave a white flag of surrender against some of the political shots that we've taken, that ... that would ... bring this whole ... I'm not doin' this for naught.

I think this is the transcript being referenced

Please give examples of how this woman would garner the vote of anyone that is socially liberal and what has she done that makes you think that she is anywhere even remotely near a fiscal conservative.

You are either fooling yourself into believing you are socially liberal in the least if she appeals to you and you have bought all of her rhetoric as gospel if you believe that she will even be in the ballpark of fiscally conservative.
