One question I haven't seen posted yet:
If Putin comes to America, WTF is he flying over Alaska? The great circle routes from Russia to the U.S. go over the polar ice cap, or over Greenland. Putin would double his flight time going over Alaska.

For those who will say Governor Palin was talking metaphorically about the Russian military, their missiles and bombers would also go nowhere near Alaska, unless they were specifically targeting facilities in Alaska.

Furthermore, you're also assuming a lot at this point to think she understands "metaphor".

(I think anyone is assuming a lot if they even think she understands geography)

NORAD: Sarah Palin has no role in guarding U.S. airspace despite claims in Katie Couric interview

WASHINGTON - When Russian bombers approach American airspace and U.S. Air Force fighters are scrambled, Sarah Palin's phone doesn't ring.

At least Obama can up and admit he has no real experience and has ways to resolve that. Palin just blabbers whatever comes off the top of her head, and it's bullshit. I laughed when I first heard her "I deal with the Russians" knowing that she has no authority to do that at all. I am glad they finally called her on this.

Actually her and her husband have had a family plane for 20 years.

Perhaps her and her husband have been personally patrolling the Alaskan airspace keeping those Russian Migs at bay.

Why can't "The most educated American on the internet" learn to decline pronouns?

I have lived in Alaska and I am pretty sure the military has complete control of defense of Alaska. I was in the military and stationed at the Army Base in Anchorage. The Army base and the Airforce base are back to back. The Airforce regularly runs intercept missions from Alaska for the protection of the USA from Russians. They also do exercises up there regularly. There may also be some National Guard Units with Aircraft. However, the Airforce already has Awax (Spell) planes up there to control air traffic in an actual attack.
