At least Obama can up and admit he has no real experience and has ways to resolve that. Palin just blabbers whatever comes off the top of her head, and it's bullshit. I laughed when I first heard her "I deal with the Russians" knowing that she has no authority to do that at all. I am glad they finally called her on this.

But she can see Russia from her living room, how can you argue with that? If that's not foreign experience, I don't know what is. She wakes up every morning literally with Russia all across her view and can see the tanks and missiles always at the ready. She is the vanguard.

Sure thing. Here are Palin's exact words: "It's very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia, as Putin rears his head and comes into the airspace of the United States of America - where do they go? It's Alaska." This was her response to a question regarding her foreign policy experience. Now, a logical person might conclude that by giving this answer to a question about her foreign policy experience, she is implying that she has some power over this area of foreign relations. She does not. So she's either a complete idiot for answering a totally different question that has nothing to do with her actual foreign policy responsibilities, or she's a complete liar for implying that she was responsible for defending Alaska from invading Russians. Which would you prefer?

One question I haven't seen posted yet:
If Putin comes to America, WTF is he flying over Alaska? The great circle routes from Russia to the U.S. go over the polar ice cap, or over Greenland. Putin would double his flight time going over Alaska.

For those who will say Governor Palin was talking metaphorically about the Russian military, their missiles and bombers would also go nowhere near Alaska, unless they were specifically targeting facilities in Alaska.



Furthermore, you're also assuming a lot at this point to think she understands "metaphor".
