i still can't understand why she appears so stupid. why can't see answer simple questions.
i think the person who said above it may be a tactic could be right.

on the other hand every interview she's given (esp with katie) makes her look dumber than a dog.

Precisely.

Palin started out as a normal person who would actually answer questions (and possibly fail to answer questions) but now she is being taught the political art of answering a different question.

For some reason, people embrace politicians who just spout talking points, relevant or not. After a little more practice, Palin will be totally acceptable to the masses.

Remember that Hillary also was very inept when she first ran for senate and there were quite alot of train wreck incidents for her. But careful handling, combined with lessons in politico-speak ended up transforming her into a successful political product.

Maybe that's wishful thinking.

Probably wishful thinking. There's a good amount to be said for setting low expectations for a debate. (a big advantage to be sure). She's gone so far into humiliating herself though, there's no way any campaign would want THIS much bad press just for a debate win.
