The most recent statistics, from LegiStorm, are for the half-year from Oct. 1, 2007, to March 31, 2008, excluding interns and focusing on full-time personnel. These figures are for their full-time Senate staff and not for their campaign staff.Originally posted by: Lemon law

The most recent estimates show that somewhere between 70% - 80% of Americans are Christians.Originally posted by: JohnOfSheffield
Yeah, and that 90+% of all Americans are Christians who believe that the Husband is head of the houshold and the Wife is subserviant isn't a problem.
I'd bet that you'd find the percentage of Christians in America "who believe that the Husband is head of the houshold and the Wife is subserviant" would be somewhere closer to the 7% range, as this is the last estimate I recall of Christians who fit the criteria of being "Evangelicals".
This is still true but Senator McCain is working to fix this.Neither is the fact that women who do the same job next to always get paid less or that they are less attractive on the job market.
Obama?s female staffers shortchanged
He?s no great equalizer
Obama?s 28 male staffers divided among themselves total payroll expenditures of $1,523,120. Thus, Obama?s average male employee earned $54,397.
Obama?s 30 female employees split $1,354,580 among themselves, or $45,152, on average.
On average, Obama?s female staffers earn just 83 cents for every dollar his male staffers make.
McCain?s 17 male staffers split $916,914, thus averaging $53,936.
His 25 female employees divided $1,396,958 and averaged $55,878.
On average, according to these data, women in McCain?s office make $1.04 for every dollar a man makes. In fact, all other things being equal, a typical female staffer could earn 21 cents more per dollar paid to her male counterpart - while adding $10,726 to her annual income - by leaving Obama?s office and going to work for McCain.
Wow holy gee WOW. McCain in his full campaign mode employs exactly 25 women.
What about the other 99.999999999999% of the women in our workforce? And how many of those female Obama staffers are mere secretaries or political interns?
Maybe we need more information before we can judge what may be a misleading statistic.
The other 99.999999999999% of the women in our workforce deserve equal employment opportunities and equal pay for equal work.
I have no idea how many of the female Obama staffers are low level employees. I can see that Senator McCain gets by with a smaller Senate staff than Obama, that Senator McCain employs a higher ratio of female employees than Obama, and that the women who work for senator McCain are paid more equal to the men as opposed to Obama.
You may be right. It could be true that Obama only employs women for lower level positions, where Senator McCain perhaps chooses to hire women for higher positions.
