Quoted from somewhere:

I am back at my desk for today, to tie up a few loose ends. As you know SecDef has asked the President for permission to call as many as 50K reservists to active duty, for an unspecified length of time. I am not part of that group, but I volunteered to be reactivated back to full active duty, rather than wait for a call up. That request was honored by SecNav. I have until 0700 Monday to report, but will be leaving this afternoon for my new assignment (sorry, can't/won't say where) so these next few posts may be my last for sometime.
As you may well guess, the military is quite angry and itching for action. As I was patrolling the skies over the east coast I had to continually remind the younger (and quite angry) pilots to keep a cool head and concentrate on the mission at hand. They understandably want their "pound of flesh". The senior naval officers I spoke with are angry too, but they are directing their anger more appropriately, war planning and logistics. I am sure that the other branches of the armed forces are doing the same thing.

I would remind each of you that it is likely that it will take some time to execute our first response against the terrorists. Don't confuse intelligence gathering and planning with inactivity. The Pentagon will look like a duck on a pond, very calm on the surface, but going like hell beneath the surface. It is my sincere hope that if we are going to wage war on terrorism that our first strike will be a coordinated, simultaneous, multi-site attack on numerous terrorist cells. Then there should be follow up attacks as required to complete the level of devastation desired.

I ask each of you for your support of our elected government as they wrestle with the issues at hand. Now is the time for all asylum inmates to shrug off the chains of partisianship and support our leaders.

Later.

end of quote-----------------------------

God bless them all.

yeah, anyone who had problems with the other thread, these pics are hosted on a different server. This is a must see for those seeking to blame entire countries instead of just hostile militant groups (although I can think of a couple countries whose governments are endangered at this time).
